Quick recap of holidays

So on christmas day I was harassed *persay* that I have not been keeping this blog up to date enough... LOL { to the right is a pic. of greg on the 25th}
So what can I report on...
I will be returning back to work in one more day; how do I feel about that some ask. I am sad because I will not be sleeping in let alone sleeping when I wish (ie. having naps). I am in some ways happy. I have found that work helps to pass the days by faster. I have gotten sicker since christmas... I was doing better but with the pass of christmas I found myself getting when seems to be a head cold, even though I have yet to kick the pesky cough. It has been 6 weeks since I first got sick and so I am just tired of being sick.
Some have asked how christmas went for me? Well it wasnt anything I really celebrated; I felt lonely and like it was another day. You will see above how and what Greg did to celebrate the holidays.
For new years I went to a dear friends house and just had dinner and enjoyed their company. I got to talk to Greg during our new years and he welcomed me into the year 2009 as he had been in it for nine and a half hours already.... cheeky guy!

Let me thing is there anything else to report... I have booked a lovely week vacation for Greg and I for when he home on leave to beautiful Punta Cana... thinking about it has helped lift my spirits and give me even more to look forward to but to plan and organize. Something for me to pack and plan for, I am very excited and can not wait to get into some warm sun and sand.. as greg has been in for the past two and a half months! Bah.. lol

I believe that is all for now folks.. I will try my hardest to update as often as possible!!!

Entry from Greg!

Christmas in Afghanistan... well for the Canadian side it was not too bad we had dinner on x-mas eve deep fried turkey easiest way of doing one up here, We don’t have a stove so we use what we got. Then had a big Canadian dinner on x-mas where we were able to skype our families to say merry Christmas and such, not too bad all in all. Christmas day me and a few other Canadians went to the ranges... it was a blast no pun intended, there was not much going on that day so it turned out really good.

New years was the other night, it was lots of fun. During the day was work as usual, not too bad then we had dinner. I made shrimp o good stuff, the first few batches was made of butter and garlic the last few were made up of beer and hot sauce; Yum Yum they went very quick every one love the dinner, well there was no complaints atleast. I did get myself a little something for new year tho "easy cheese" made with real cheese and ritz crackers, Yum Yum, that is some good stuff as well. Well new years day was not to bad either, worked a little and was able to get a grand tour of the American embassy; yea that is 30min of my life i will never get back! All I have to say about it is that it is the most modern building here, walked in and it was just like being in any office building back home not too shabby.

Will have more to post and write later!
